Though our coffee bar and kitchen are only open for breakfast and lunch, our space comes alive after hours for all kinds of classes and events!
Over the years we’ve hosted casual family photoshoots, acoustic music shows, lectures on a variety of topics, painting and other craft evenings, and hands-on educational classes. It’s our joy to be a gathering place for our neighbors. Check below for upcoming events at both locations.

Sourdough Starter Basics Class
Mt. Prospect Location - 106 S. Emerson August 7th & September 4th - 7pm - 8:30pm
Learn basic sourdough bread making skills and become a pro use in time for fall! This class will cover how to feed and care for your sourdough starter, see all the steps of sourdough bread making, and learn other ways to use your sourdough starter.
During class, sample sourdough bread, scones, bagels and focaccia. Leave with a starter, recipe cards and the confidence to make your own sourdough goods!

It doesn't matter if you are a bestselling author, an aspiring author, or a writer knee deep in the query trenches. All writers are welcome! The only requirement for attendance is a love of writing (and, perhaps, a healthy disdain for certain artificially intelligent plagiarism machines).
